Privacy Policy

How Trust Surveyors Ltd collects, uses and protects your personal information.

Last updated: 27 October 2026

This policy explains what personal information Trust Surveyors Ltd collects when you use this website or get in touch with us, why we collect it, how we look after it and what your rights are.

Who we are

Trust Surveyors Ltd is the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. We are a company registered in England and Wales (company number 14602005) with our office at Suites C–F, 14th Floor, The Plaza, 100 Old Hall Street, Liverpool, L3 9QJ.

We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) as a data controller, registration reference ZB671632.

If you have any questions about this policy or how we use your information, contact us at hello@trustsurveyors.com, call 0151 702 0123 or write to us at the address above.

What we collect

When you send an enquiry through our website we collect:

  • your name, email address and telephone number
  • the service you are interested in
  • the address of the property, and if you choose to tell us, the number of bedrooms, the price or value and anything else you want us to know about it
  • the page you sent the enquiry from

If you phone or email us, or instruct us to carry out a survey or valuation, we also keep the details you give us and the records of the work, such as correspondence, inspection notes, photographs of the property and the report we produce. If you pay us, we keep a record of the payment, but we do not store card details on this website.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

  • To reply to your enquiry and give you a quote. We do this because you have asked us to, as a step before entering into a contract with you.
  • To carry out the survey, valuation or EPC you instruct. This is necessary to perform our contract with you.
  • To keep records of our work. We need to do this to meet our legal, regulatory and insurance obligations, including the standards that apply to RICS registered firms.
  • To keep the website secure and stop spam enquiries. This is in our legitimate interests.

We do not use your details for marketing, and we do not make decisions about you by automated means.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your details or pass them to anyone for their own marketing. We only share what is needed with:

  • estate agents, vendors or landlords, where we need to arrange access to a property
  • your lender, solicitor or conveyancer, where you ask us to or the work requires it
  • our website agency, Think Mad, which looks after this website and receives a copy of website enquiries so it can make sure they are delivered and handled
  • the companies that host our website and deliver our email, who process data on our behalf and only on our instructions
  • our professional advisers and insurers, or regulators such as RICS, where we are required to

Our suppliers may store data outside the UK. Where they do, we make sure there are appropriate safeguards in place, such as UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to any work are deleted once we no longer need them to deal with your enquiry. Where you instruct us, we keep the records of the work for as long as our professional indemnity insurers and RICS rules require, as a survey or valuation can be relied on and questioned for several years after it is carried out. When we no longer need the information, we delete it securely.

How we protect it

This website uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Enquiries are stored in the website’s password-protected admin area and sent by email to the people who need to deal with them. Only people who need the information to do their job can see it.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • ask us to correct anything that is wrong or incomplete
  • ask us to delete your information, where we no longer have a reason to keep it
  • ask us to limit how we use your information, or object to us using it
  • ask us to transfer information you gave us to another organisation

To make a request, contact us at hello@trustsurveyors.com. We will reply within one month and there is normally no charge.
